DESCRIPTION:
Silas Hoadley, Plymouth, Conn., tall clock, 8 day, time and strike, pull wind weight driven wooden works movement in a grain painted pine case with broken arch top, turned full columns flanking hood and trunk door resting on small turned feet. The painted wooden dial has a painted scene in the arch.
CONDITION:
the grain painted surface is original. The painted dial is original and unsigned, but this 8 day movement is unique to Hoadley. The trunk door key and escutcheon are replacements. The tin can weights are original. The finials are absent. Proper style hands.
